Madame Bovary

Emma Bovary (Mia Wasikowska) marries the village doctor Charles (Henry Lloyd-Hughes) and then finds the provincial life she signed up for is too small. She fills it with affairs and with purchases from the merchant Monsieur Lheureux (Rhys Ifans), who lets her run up credit. Sophie Barthes keeps returning to Emma and the clerk Leon (Ezra Miller), two restless people sharing a want neither can put a name to.
