“MR. and MRS. MINIVER together again”

Marie (Greer Garson) is a poor physics student at the Sorbonne in 1890s Paris, one of the few women in her field, and the professors doubt her. Mervyn LeRoy follows her into the lab of Pierre Curie (Walter Pidgeon), where the two set out to extract a new element they have named radium from a particular kind of rock. Their work comes first, and love arrives alongside it.
