Madrid, 1987

Miguel (José Sacristán), an aging, bitter journalist in Madrid in 1987, ends up alone with Ángela (María Valverde), a young journalism student who has come to him wanting to learn. David Trueba keeps nearly the whole film in a single room, two people talking, undressing, arguing about politics and power. The gap in their ages and their wants stays between them, and each of them keeps testing how far it can be crossed.
