“There’s always a price to pay”

Vincent Gamache (Marc-André Grondin) comes from three generations of tailors who have dressed the Paternò crime family in Montreal, and he works for the godfather Frank (Sergio Castellitto) instead. Hungry to be noticed, he stages an operation behind Frank's back, and it earns him a place closer to the center. Daniel Grou sets it in 1994, and the story turns on the plain fact that in these families, loyalty to blood and loyalty to the boss are never the same debt.
