Magellan
Fernão de Magalhães (Gael García Bernal) is a Portuguese navigator who sails for the Spanish crown, sure that a westward route to the Spice Islands exists. His fleet crosses the uncharted Pacific, and the crew faces starvation, mutiny and the slow strain of endless water. Lav Diaz paces the voyage and the arrival at Cebu with long, quiet patience.
