Magic Farm

“Fake it 'til you make it.”

A film crew from an edgy American media company flies to rural Argentina to profile a local musician, then somehow ends up in the wrong small town. Edna (Chloë Sevigny) and Jeff (Alex Wolff) don't turn around. They recruit the locals to help them invent a viral trend, and Amalia Ulman shoots it in the flat, patient manner of a documentary. Jeff keeps filming and keeps improvising, while a crisis nobody names goes unspoken just behind the footage.
