Major Dundee

Major Amos Dundee (Charlton Heston) wants the Apache raider who has been hitting U.S. bases in the New Mexico territory, and he has too few soldiers to go after him. So he fills out his column with Confederate prisoners, among them the captain Benjamin Tyreen (Richard Harris), and crosses into Mexico in the last winter of the Civil War. Sam Peckinpah puts the whole uneasy company on horseback in the dust, blue coats and gray riding side by side.
