Mako: The Jaws of Death
“Filmed without the benefit of cages, mechanical sharks and other protective devices.”
Sonny Stein (Richard Jaeckel) wants to be left alone with the sharks, and he is pulled further from other people after a shaman gives him a strange medallion. William Grefé shot the film on location in Key West, where people arrive with their own plans for a man who can talk to the animals. Jaeckel sits brooding at the water's edge, the medallion on his chest, the sharks waiting somewhere under the surface.
