MAL·MO·E: The Secret Mission

“Our language makes us who we are.”

Kim Pan-su (Yoo Hai-jin) is a small-time hustler who wants nothing more than to get by under Japanese rule. Then he finds himself working beside Ryu Jung-hwan (Yoon Kye-sang), a man set on compiling the first Korean dictionary while the occupiers try to erase the language. Eom Yu-na puts the two of them in a room, and the slips of paper pile up between them.
