Malasartes e o Duelo com a Morte

Pedro Malasartes (Jesuíta Barbosa) is a lazy, cowardly trickster in a small Brazilian town, and the one thing he wants is Áurea (Isis Valverde). Her brother Próspero (Milhem Cortaz) will do anything to keep him away from her. Paulo Morelli sets a second enemy on Pedro, Morte (Júlio Andrade), who has collected lives for two thousand years and wants Pedro to take over the job.
