Malina

A woman (Isabelle Huppert) lives in a Vienna apartment with Malina (Mathieu Carrière), and the two share the rooms and the days with an ease that has no name. Then she meets Ivan (Can Togay) and gives herself to him completely, a passion larger than he can understand or answer. Werner Schroeter, working from Elfriede Jelinek's screenplay, sets the pull of Ivan against the quiet steadiness of Malina, and the woman is caught between them.
