In Montreal's Italian neighborhood, Angelo Barberini (Luke Kirby) moves out of his parents' house, which his mother Maria (Ginette Reno) and father Gino (Paul Sorvino) treat as a crime against the family. Émile Gaudreault adapts Steve Galluccio's own play, and the parents and neighbors crowd every doorway and kitchen table. Angelo's friendship with Nino Paventi (Peter Miller) turns into the thing neither man can say aloud.
