Mame Dennis (Lucille Ball) is in the middle of a party full of artists and intellectuals when her late brother's ten-year-old son, Patrick (Kirby Furlong), is left at her door. Gene Saks stages this 1974 musical in bright Technicolor, and Mame teaches the boy her credo that life is a banquet. Her friend Vera (Bea Arthur) watches, and the bond between aunt and nephew grows the longer he stays.
