In Dublin, Margaret Brady (Rachel Griffiths) lives alone after her marriage ends and her teenage son is gone. She takes in Joe Walsh (Barry Keoghan), a homeless young man, and a careful trust starts to form between them. Rebecca Daly follows two people who each need someone to look after, and the film is plain about how little either of them can ask for.
