“SIX-GUN SHOWDOWN IN THE SIERRAS”

Rancher Owen Merrit (Randolph Scott) holds a small piece of range in a country where one big landowner has decided he wants all of it. André de Toth follows Merrit as the neighbor, Will Isham (Alexander Knox), sends gunmen to push him off, while Laurie Bidwell Isham (Joan Leslie) and Nan Melotte (Ellen Drew) each have a stake in how it ends. A man with a modest claim learns that the law out here is whoever is willing to defend what he owns with a gun.
