Man of Iron
Winkel (Marian Opania), a bitter radio reporter in Warsaw in 1980, wants his career back, and the Party offers it: go to Gdańsk and dig up dirt on the shipyard strikers, above all Maciek Tomczyk (Jerzy Radziwiłowicz), whose father died in the December 1970 protests. Winkel poses as a sympathizer and questions the people around him, including his wife Agnieszka (Krystyna Janda). Andrzej Wajda sets it during the strikes that won workers an independent union.
