Man on the Tracks
One night in 1950, a passenger train runs over a man on the tracks, and he turns out to be Władysław Orzechowski, a veteran engineer known for his stern ways. An inquiry panel questions the people around him, and each of them tells the story differently. Andrzej Munk keeps the panel's questions flat and procedural, and the inquiry ends on the night rail line where the man was found.
