“The nature of fear”

In a Louisiana swamp marked for oil drilling, the agents of a tycoon go in and do not come back. Kyle (Matthew Le Nevez), the new sheriff, starts asking questions and hears about a Seminole legend, a shambling swamp creature whose touch burns anyone who feels fear. Brett Leonard directs it as a creature picture, with the bog and its things closing around Kyle and Teri (Rachael Taylor).
