“A BRUTAL JOURNEY TOWARDS THE WILDEST REVENGE.”

Violence comes down out of the Shadow Mountains in 1983 and takes apart the quiet life Red Miller (Nicolas Cage) shares with Mandy Bloom (Andrea Riseborough) in their pine-scented home. Red, a lumberjack, goes after the cult led by Jeremiah Sand (Linus Roache) and the followers who kneel to him. Panos Cosmatos drowns the forest in red and violet light and lets the film move at the speed of a bad dream.
