Mangal Pandey - The Rising

Mangal Pandey (Aamir Khan) is a sepoy in the army of the East India Company in 1857, a soldier of Indian origin serving under British officers. In the Anglo-Afghan Wars he saves the life of his commanding officer, Captain William Gordon (Toby Stephens), and the debt grows into a friendship that rank and race were never meant to allow. Ketan Mehta stages the story as a historical epic, with Om Puri's narration setting the scene.
