“RECKLESS with WOMEN...He pursued them ..."petted" them...promised them nothing and got away with everything!”

Two boys are orphaned in the same disaster and taken in by the same priest, and they grow up as close as brothers. Blackie Gallagher (Clark Gable) turns to gambling and crime, while Jim Wade (William Powell) studies law and heads toward the district attorney's office. Then both men fall for Eleanor Packer (Myrna Loy), and the loyalty between them has to hold up against a woman they each want.
