Maniac
“I warned you not to go out tonight!”
Young women keep turning up dead on the streets of New York City, scalped and mutilated, and nothing in the film's opening explains the man behind it. He is Frank Zito (Joe Spinell), a lonely Italian-American who lives with the memory of an abusive childhood. Then Frank meets the photographer Anna D'Antoni (Caroline Munro), and the film puts the cruelty of his past beside the violence he commits now.
