Manjhi: The Mountain Man

“The Man Who Broke A Mountain For Love”

Dashrath Manjhi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) picks up a hammer and chisel and starts cutting into the hill that stands between his village and everything else, after his wife Phaguniya (Radhika Apte) dies trying to cross it. Ketan Mehta follows the labourer from Gehlaur, near Gaya in Bihar, as the work of one angry man becomes years of striking stone. The film is about what grief does with its hands.
