Mansfield Park

(1999)Directed by Patricia Rozema112 min · PG-13Romance, Drama
“For everyone who loved "Emma" and "Sense & Sensibility" comes the comedy Jane Austen loved best.”

Fanny Price (Frances O'Connor) is sent as a girl to live with her wealthy relatives at Mansfield Park, where most of the household treats her as an afterthought and only her cousin Edmund (Jonny Lee Miller) is kind to her. Patricia Rozema works Jane Austen's own life into the story, along with the plantation money behind the family's comforts. Then the worldly Henry Crawford (Alessandro Nivola) arrives, and Fanny's small place in the house is suddenly at risk.
