Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea
“Lion of the Arabian Sea”
Sixteen sea battles, all won against the Portuguese, and the man behind them was neither a king nor a prince. He was the admiral of a Calicut fleet, Kunjali Marakkar IV (Mohanlal), and Priyadarshan's film set in the 16th century follows him in the service of the Zamorin (Nedumudi Venu). Every victory leaves Marakkar needing to win the next one, because the Portuguese have more ships to send.
