Masuoka (Shinya Tsukamoto), a freelance cameraman who collects fear the way other people collect stamps, goes down into the Tokyo subways to chase an urban legend about spirits living in the tunnels. Takashi Shimizu keeps him alone with his camera, filming whatever the dark lets him see. Masuoka wants to know what real terror looks like, and he keeps walking further down to find it.
