Maria Full of Grace

“Based on 1,000 true stories.”

María Álvarez (Catalina Sandino Moreno) is a pregnant Colombian teenager whose pay barely reaches the family she supports. She takes work as a drug mule, a job that could solve her money problems all at once. Joshua Marston keeps the film close to her ordinary routines, and what it shows plainly is how little room a girl like María has to choose.
