Someone in this room gave a resistance leader's name to the Germans, and Marie-Octobre (Danielle Darrieux) has called his old network back together to find out who. Years after the war, Julien Simoneau (Bernard Blier) and the other former comrades sit through one evening that returns to the night Castille was killed. Julien Duvivier plays the whole thing in real time over 99 minutes, shot on the Boulogne studio sets in Paris.
