Marius

Marius Ollivier (Pierre Fresnay) wants the sea. He is twenty-three and pulls drinks for his father César (Raimu) at their bar on the Marseilles port, and every ship's whistle tugs at him. Fanny (Orane Demazis) has loved him since they were children, and Alexander Korda sets their story as M. Panisse asks for her hand and a clipper needs a deckhand, which puts the girl and the harbor against each other.
