Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts
“Justice doesn't wait for the law. Justice is served by her own hands”
A band of bandits arrives at the home of Marlina (Marsha Timothy), a young widow living alone, with plans to rob her and worse. She sets out across the wilderness of rural Indonesia to find justice on her own terms, with the men's friend Markus (Egi Fedly) among those she has to reckon with. Mouly Surya stages it as a Western, and the genre's old dust and distance are now set in Sumba.
