Marquis
“A bizarre tale of sex, lust, and the French Revolution”
In the Bastille, on the eve of revolution, the Marquis (François Marthouret) waits for judgment beside Colin (Valérie Kling), his talking penis, who keeps asking to be put to use. Henri Xhonneux fills the cells with actors in animal masks and dubbed voices, a few scenes switching to clay animation. The film treats a writer's mind and body as two stubborn parties who cannot stop quarrelling inside one prison.
