Married to It

John Morden (Beau Bridges) and his wife Iris (Stockard Channing) are New York parents whose children attend the same elite private academy as two other couples, none of them alike in age, work, or the way they live. Arthur Hiller gathers all three marriages around a school pageant with a 1960s theme, where the parents spend their afternoons setting up the stage. Each couple starts to quarrel there, and each starts to look hard at the person they married.
