Marvellous

“I always wanted to be happy, so I decided to be.”

Neil "Nello" Baldwin (Toby Jones) has a mild learning disability and no embarrassment, and somehow he is on first-name terms with half of Staffordshire. He lives with his mother Mary (Gemma Jones) in Newcastle-under-Lyme, and nothing anyone says about him seems to stick. Julian Farino directs this true story from Peter Bowker's script in the same plain, generous way Nello treats everyone he meets.
