Mary Shelley

“Her greatest love inspired her darkest creation”

Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin (Elle Fanning) falls hard for the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley (Douglas Booth), and the two begin a love affair that her family and her times will not forgive. Haifaa al-Mansour follows it into the years when the young Mary starts writing Frankenstein. Everything she wants, the man, her freedom, her book, depends on what she can bear to lose.
