Master Cheng

Cheng (Tommy Chu Pak-hong), a restaurant owner from China, has brought his young son to a remote Finnish village, and nobody around him knows exactly why he came. His wife died recently in an accident, and the old friend he is looking for lives on a farm among forests and lakes. Mika Kaurismäki lets Cheng and Sirkka (Anna-Maija Tuokko), the woman who runs the village's small eatery, begin to ease into each other's company.
