Cheung Tin Chi (Max Zhang) lost to Master Ip, and now he waits tables in a Hong Kong bar for expats, trying to raise his young son in quiet. The money, the foreigners and the triad bosses who fill the place keep pulling him toward a fight he would rather skip. Yuen Woo-ping stages the brawls through neon and cramped rooms, and the question underneath is whether a man can leave violence behind when it keeps showing up at his workplace.
