Matthias & Maxime

“Best friends forever.”

In Quebec, a group of friends who have known each other since childhood spend their weekends together at a lake house. Two of them, Matthias (Gabriel D'Almeida Freitas) and Maxime (Xavier Dolan), agree to kiss on camera for a friend's student short film. Dolan directs the aftermath as a slow unease between the pair, each trying to act as though the kiss was nothing, and neither quite managing it.
