“Love that burns fast but lasts forever.”

Two aging crooks, Marc (Michel Piccoli) and Hans (Hans Meyer), have two weeks to repay a debt to a woman called The American. They bring in Alex (Denis Lavant), the son of their dead partner, to break into a laboratory and steal the vaccine for STBO, a disease passing through teenagers who sleep together without love. Leos Carax has the clock running, and Alex has met Anna (Juliette Binoche).
