“Imagine your worst nightmare...machines take over the world!”

A comet drifts close to the earth in 1986, and at a desolate truck stop the machines begin to wake. Bill Robinson (Emilio Estevez), a short-order cook, and a handful of customers are pinned inside by a gang of 18-wheelers, led by the diner owner Hendershot (Pat Hingle). Stephen King, directing for the first time, adapts his own short story "Trucks" and stages the siege at his own speed.
