McLintock!

“Never such a tender love story! Never such a savage showdown! Never such restless natives!”

George Washington McLintock (John Wayne) built his enormous ranch from nothing and wants to keep it, though government men and neighboring tribes all have designs on his land. Then his wife Katherine (Maureen O'Hara), gone for two years, comes back, and she wants their daughter Becky (Stefanie Powers), not him. Andrew V. McLaglen loosely follows The Taming of the Shrew, and underneath the brawling it is about two stubborn people who still have a claim on each other.
