Me, Them and Lara

A doubt has shaken Carlo Mascolo (Carlo Verdone), a priest back in Italy after years of humanitarian work in Africa, and he no longer trusts his own certainty. The family he comes home to is in worse shape than the one he left, and then there is Lara (Laura Chiatti), a young woman who makes him doubt himself and his faith. Verdone directs and stars, setting the comedy inside ordinary family rooms and letting it run alongside the sadness.
