“...best friends forever?”

Holly (Michelle Williams) wants one thing from the summer she and her neighbor Marina (Anna Friel) swear to be friends forever: to stay close to the girl who tries everything first. Sandra Goldbacher follows the two from seventies London across the years, through Marina's divorcing parents, her drugs and her fashionable self-destruction. Holly keeps showing up, and the friendship that has never been equal starts to feel like a trap she cannot leave.
