Meet the Browns

“Check your baggage at the door.”

A letter arrives in Chicago for Brenda Brown (Angela Bassett), a single mother just laid off with no warning, announcing the death of a father she never knew she had. She packs her family into a trip to Georgia for the funeral and finds his relatives waiting, loud, crass and fun-loving, in a small town of long afternoons. Tyler Perry's film turns on the ease of strangers who turn out to be family, and the help that comes when Brenda finally accepts it.
