Meeting with Pol Pot

Cambodia, 1989, just as the Vietnamese army withdraws and the Khmer Rouge still holds territory in the north. Journalist Lise Delbo (Irène Jacob) travels into the war zone with her cameraman to pursue an interview with Pol Pot himself, the architect of a genocide that killed nearly two million people. What begins as a quest for testimony becomes a reckoning with how much of herself she might have to surrender to get close to the truth.
