Mélo
Pierre Belcroix (Pierre Arditi) is a violinist in 1920s Paris, happy with his marriage to the young, stylish Romaine (Sabine Azéma), though his friend Marcel Blanc (André Dussollier) has become the famous one. Marcel meets Romaine and falls in love, with no idea whose wife she is. Alain Resnais, working from Henri Bernstein's 1929 play, keeps the two violinists side by side, the bows moving in time.
