Memories

“Three unforgettable tales from the masters of anime.”

Heinz Beckner (Tsutomu Isobe) is a space salvage crew member who answers a distress signal and finds a wrecked station drifting in a field of debris. His is the first of three stories, each adapted from an Otomo manga and handed to a different director: Kōji Morimoto, Tensai Okamura, and Otomo himself. Taken together they are about what people carry around inside them, and how the past will not stay put.
