Memories of My Body

Juno (Kaan Lativan) is a boy in Central Java when his father leaves him behind in the village. Alone, he joins a Lengger dance centre, where men learn to shape their bodies and movements into a feminine form. Garin Nugroho follows him from village to village as the dance draws desire toward him and violence keeps him moving, one small figure carrying his body through each place.
