Memories of the Sword

“The fated Battle of the Three Swords.”

In Goryeo-era Korea, a young woman called Hong-yi (Kim Go-eun) has trained for years in the sword with one purpose, to avenge the mother who was betrayed and killed. Her target is Yu-baek (Lee Byung-hun), one of the most feared warriors in the land, and Park Heung-sik lets the story carry the quiet of someone waiting a long time for a single reckoning. Hong-yi has built her whole life around that meeting, and she has nothing else to put in its place.
