Men of Honor

“History is made by those who break the rules.”

Carl Brashear (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is a Navy sailor who has set his sights on becoming its first African-American master diver. Standing in his way is Master Chief Leslie "Billy" Sunday (Robert De Niro), an old-school diving instructor bitter about the Navy's changing policies. George Tillman Jr. tells their true story as a contest of stubbornness that turns, slowly, into respect, and into what two men owe each other.
