“The Show Must Go On...”

Raju (Raj Kapoor) walks into the ring of a circus as its clown and makes the crowd laugh, though his own heart has been broken more than once. Raj Kapoor follows him through the loves and losses of a lifetime, with Rishi Kapoor, in his first screen role, playing the boy Raju once was. The circus manager tells him the show must go on, and Raju has to keep smiling while three women watch his final performance.
